Healing is impossible in loneliness;
it is the opposite of loneliness

Treatment

Support

 Blue Ridge DAC is a treatment court.  We provide relapse prevention, moral reconation therapy, family education, and trauma therapy.  In appropriate cases, medication-assisted treatment is available.

Drug tests

Random drug tests are given for the entire time you are in DAC.  Most tests are given at the lab in the Historic Courthouse located next door to the Justice Center.
DAC is an 18 to 24 month program.  Participants must complete five phases of treatment in order to graduate.

Court sessions

The individual's relationship with the team is a key part of treatment. The team reviews each participant's progress and meets with them in regular courtroom sessions to reward progress and monitor compliance.
DAC provides life skills classes for resume building, job interviewing, and budgeting.  Eligible participants  receive assistance with medical care, housing and transportation.

Fees

There is a $50 per week participant fee during most of the program.  These fees are necessary in order to support the cost of the services provided by DAC.  There are no additional out-of-pocket costs for treatment or drug testing, and no participant fails to graduate if unable to pay.
